Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-13
By signing up for or using AuraMail you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable by humans, not just lawyers.
1. The service
AuraMail is a personal email service. We give you an address at auracompose.com, a web inbox, and a composer. Beta access is invite-only via signup code.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 16 or older.
- You're responsible for keeping your password safe.
- One human, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- We may refuse, suspend, or remove an account that we judge to be abusive — see Acceptable Use below.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use AuraMail to:
- Send spam, phishing, scams, or any unsolicited bulk email.
- Distribute malware, illegal content, or content that violates someone's rights.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate other people.
- Probe or attack the service, evade rate limits, or scrape automatically.
Violations are grounds for immediate suspension. Repeated abuse may be reported to AWS and to law enforcement where applicable.
4. Beta status
AuraMail is in beta. The service is provided "as is." It may change, break, or temporarily disappear. Don't make it your only mailbox for important things until General Availability.
5. Your content
Your mail is yours. We don't claim ownership. We need a narrow license to store, display, and transmit it on your behalf — exactly what's required to run an email service. We'll never sell, lease, or train models on it.
6. Service limits
- Outbound email is rate-limited per account.
- Mailbox storage is generous but not unlimited; if you approach a limit we'll email you first.
- We may impose stricter limits on accounts to prevent abuse.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@auracompose.com. We'll purge your data within 7 days. We may terminate accounts for material breaches of these terms with notice where reasonable.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee 100% uptime; we guarantee that we try.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid for the service in the past 12 months, or (b) USD $50.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County.
11. Changes
We'll update the date above when these terms change. Material changes are emailed to active users at least 14 days before they take effect.
